Why is America so fat?
I want to know some facts. I remember someone told me a statistic of the year 2020 and how many people will be obese. Can anyone help me? Im also trying to find how companies changed portions throughout the years. As Coco Cola bottle in the sixties when smaller than now and how McDonalds doubled the size of portions throughout the year. Is it the fault people if they become obese or is the hectic lifestyle and the abundance of fast food restaurants? Do you think the future is doomed?!?!
I think it's a combination of laziness and a hectic lifestyle. Let's face it, adults work more than ever they do now. They are tired after working all day. They do not want to go home and cook some healthy meal. They are just too tired. So we have these convenient fast food. People run there to get a quick meal. So many people really can not find the time to be exercise. Americans work harder than most other countries in the world, then we are weary. After work, most of us like to just relax and watch TV or take a nap to relax. In addition, portions are out of control! You go a restaurant and you expect to much. We should not do that. Most countries have a normal serving of a cup of something ... say 1 cup of puree. We want a big ol 'mound of mashed potatoes, because that's what we have become accustomed to. However, I think everyone should try to limit their consumption of fast food at least once a week. And it is possible to exercise while watching TV. Mini-trampolines are really fun and a / 2 hours of jogging on a one of them is equal to one hour on a treadmill. More trampolines are small and portable. Our hectic lifestyles can get in the way, but we should at least be able to prevent weight gain before it starts.
