From Sweden
A good gift for a foreign student from Sweden?
Is it okay to give him a copy of Pippi Longstocking (written in Swedish, course) with some Swedish fish? "I feel bad that she can not spend Christmas with his family in Sweden and I want to give him something that could remind him to be home or anything. Is it cute or not understood?
The book and candy are a great idea. So why do not ask what is a favorite dish in the house, she misses him and ask if she knows how to make the whole world can share with her to help them feel like home when shes not. Or better communicate with his family and put up a video chat Christmas for her as a surprise if she can still see and talk with them and I know they miss me as much as it is lacking.
