Lateral Cut

Is it possible to do exercises with the row line machine at the gym?

I'm about to start buying and other weights, but I can not afford to buy a machine row yet. I'm cut out to go to the gym and do all this at home. Is there an exersise that works the same muscles that I can do that would mimic the sit rows and rows lateral pull down?

Barbell bent over row 1. Hold a dumbbell with a grip width slightly wider than shoulder above. 2. With knees slightly bent, bend at the waist so your upper body is slightly above being parallel to the ground. 3. Pull the barbell straight into your stomach. 4. Lower the barbell back to the starting position (arms fully extended).
