Pieces Paper Large
Physics: how many pieces of paper would be needed to be as tall as the Empire State Building? Help!?
The thickness of a typical piece of paper is 6 x 10^-5m. Suppose a large stack of papers is assembled, a stack as tall as the Empire State Building. How many pieces of paper are in the stack?
Try to show work if possible. Thanks so much everyone!!
A piece of paper typically is .0035" thick. Convert the height of the Empire State Building into inches, then divide that number by .0035 and you now have your answer.
1250' x 12" = 15000"
15000 / .0035= 4,285,714.2857 pieces of paper
